African Fashion Week Ottawa (AFWO) is the capital city’s premier fashion and culture event, celebrating the richness of African, Afro-Caribbean, and Black Canadian creativity. Twice a year, in February (Black History Month) and September/October, Ottawa transforms into a global runway, spotlighting international and local designers, models, artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs. Our mission is to empower, educate, and showcase the beauty of African heritage while connecting communities, businesses, and global audiences.

Future editions will continue in February (Black History Month) and September, making AFWO a semi-annual celebration of diversity, culture, and style.
